Blue Spotted Jawfish food

I'm having trouble finding information that isn't conflicting about what to feed this fish

The plan is get one and place him in QT this weekend along with a Starry Blenny until my DT has finished cycling.

Trouble is, every site says to feed them something different.

Any suggestions from experienced owners?

i have a pearly jawfish, which i guess is somewhat close. i feed him mysis shrimp and hope to get him to start eating pellets. I've only had him a week and a half so far.

I have a Blue Spotted Jawfish and feed mysis and flake food. The key is to make sure the food comes close to their home. Mine has dug a hole underneath one of my rocks. They are shy about coming out when other fish are present.

They are very shy and a lot more when they are first introduced. I fed mine mysis shrimp with selcon. For the first week or so I would use a turkey baster to squirt some of the mysis around him until he got used to eating on his own

+2 Mine would sit on the edge of his home/hole and wait until the food was a safe distance before eating it.
