ID Snail
I found this snail in my tank today. Please help ID it.
It is about quarter to half inch long. It looks like a snail with a very flat shell on its back that almost looks like a slug. This is a 2 months old new tank. I start with dry rock, bagged CaribSea live sand, and I dip my coral in Coral Rx before I put it in. I don't remember I saw this snail attach to any of the coral before I put it in (may be hiding inside?). Where could this snail come from? I do have a CUC, but not this type of snail. Here is a video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKTiyfzgk0c See attached image for close up image. |

Definitely a stomatella, I'd say. Harmless algae-eaters.
