What backup equipment do you keep?

I keep an extra circulation pump (reeflo) which would work on either of my two tanks. What if any back up equipment do you keep?>

I have a spare Dart for my basement tank, several spare (new and used) power heds, and a couple heaters. I also have several old eheim canister filters ready to be stuffed full of pillow filling when I need to clean mass amounts of crap out of the water.

Oh - and about 15 cases of salt.

I have several small powerbeads and pumps but nothing intentional.
Its so easy to overnight something or run down to one of several LFS that I have yet to find anything that would be detrimental if I lost it.
I even killed my reeflo barracuda one recent saturday morning. Couldn't find one local so had to overnight one for tuesday delivery.
Other than temps rising a bit from not being able to go through my chiller, it wasn't that big of a deal, other than the $. Just made sure my powerheads were running in the tanks for circulation.

Extra pump or two since I use a manifold off return and a separate pump for CL. I can swap things around if need be, just to get me by. Couple of air pumps and a generator as well. As Dennis said above, not much you can't within a day or two.

I have more invested in spare parts than many have invested in all their components. LOL

It's a fairly long list but here goes..

Spare Reeflo Hammerhead (return)with unions installed and ready to go.
Spare Reeflo Dart Gold (closed loop) with unions installed and ready to go.
Spare Tunze 6105 + Power Supply
Spare Tunze 6205 + Power Supply
Spare Tunze 6105 impeller
Spare Tunze 6205 impeller
Spare Iwaki MD70RLT (backup for my mix pump)
Spare Apex base unit pre-programmed and ready to go.
Spare Apex EB8
Spare pH probe
Spare LS-17 tubing for my Cole Parmer Masterflex calcium reactor pump
Spare 7518-10 Pump Head for my Cole Parmer reactor pump
Spare Co2 check valves
Spare Co2 regulator (a cheap one in case my Aquarium Plants reg has an issue)
Spare tubing for my Stenner ATO pump
Spare LED flood light for my refugium
Spare float switches for my ATO and failsafes
Spare solenoid valves (I use solenoids for ATO failsafes)
Spare Genesis Renew Auto Water Changer controller
Spare Maxspect Razor driver board for my display fuge lighting

I'm sure I am missing a couple things but that covers most of it. I also have a Honda EU1000 generator and an APC 1500 UPS that is charged and ready to go in case of long power outages.

Nothing really...

Running dual heaters and return pumps and lots of powerheads, so a little bit of redundancy.

Had one power supply go out for one of the returns, so just ran in limp mode until a new supply came.

Just had one of my WP40s go out, but there are 3 more WP40s in the tank and 2 WP60s, so good there until a new ones comes.

Spare powerheads, not quite as good as what I'm running but they'll move water temporarily. I use them to mix salt.

Spare return pump
Spare heaters
Spare bulbs

I'd ideally like to have spare light ballasts and a spare apex, but I haven't been in the game long enough to assemble that kind of extras

-300 watt titanium heater
-3 Power supplies for lights
-2 power supplies for Jaebo RW power heads
-1 controller for Jaebo RW powerheads
-2 RW-20 powerheads
-1 Power supply for Skimz DC skimmer
-1 Apex to DC pump cable if the skimmer controller ever fails
-1 Apex EB8

Some excellent ideas above. I need to stock up some critical stuff. I am good on power related issues since I have a generator. Replacement parts, no so much.

I only keep a back up for those things that cannot wait the 2 days it takes to get something to my doorstep. So, a main pump and heater. I do always keep enough stuff on hand to setup two QT tanks on short notice though. Otherwise, lots of spare equipment taking up space in the 'closet of misfit toys' that got replace or upgraded. Rarely used but always available for the next hair brained idea.

After reading some of the posts in this thread (thanks!!), I ordered and received a spare return pump that can work on either tank. I think I have the rest covered.
