Placement of 2 Mp40 QD in 93g cube? With pics, help

So I'm about to do the plumbing on my rimless marineland 93g cube. Then right after I'll be hooking everything up.

I would really like to try and keep both vortechs on the back wall and keep the sides as clean as possible. Curious as to where you guys would think the best placement for two mp40's would be in this tank .. ? Thanks ImageUploadedByTapatalk1434480817.421421.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1434480829.890629.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1434480844.133399.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1434480860.238602.jpg

Top left and mid level right side. Problem with the top left placement is with how high that last rock is, you'll have to mount the mp40 above it which puts it near the surface. My two mp40 quiet drives are each at least 5" below the water and only at 50% power but still will create a mini vortex every once in a while. There's a company that makes acrylic shields for vortechs to prevent this but they're about $50 and I don't know how well they work or if they hinder performance.

I would say 1 at top middle pointing across the top toward the front pane and 1 lower middle left side pointing at glass and slightly up. You may find you get better suspension and random effect with two different intensity settings on your powerheads.

cubes are tricky.

I used 4 mp10's on mine and they were barely noticeable with the black vinyl background. I had them synced to a random pattern. Now I have the Maxspect gyre 150 placed a few inches from the top on a pulsing mode and get tons of flow from the one pump. and it too isn't very noticeable and great flow through my tank

First thing I would consider is rearranging my rockwork so not to block the flow quite as much. In cubes (like I have) minimal rockwork is usually necessary if you want good flow patterns for SPS.

Unfortunately I'm well beyond rearranging my rock at this point, everything is epoxied and stilled with rods through them I ended up putting my two vortechs here although I could easily tweak it once I fill it with water and test out flow as far as position is concerned
