Kessil a360w or radion xr15 pro
I have a 65 gallon mixed reef with a 6 bulb t5 fixture on it and I want to upgrade to leds and these 2 fixtures both seem like they are pretty good fixture, does anyone have any experience with these fixtures, such as with the growth and color of the corals and also how easy they are to use and program with a Neptune apex?

Kessils hands down are the better fixtures. Should be easy to program either of them.

i am trying to narrow down the same 2 lights for my nano and so far what i can say its i might go with a 360 because i like the shimmer effect, however i have the radions on my large tank and they are fairly easy to program and if you get a reeflink you can play with the colors and program right from your phone, hope this helps

I like Kessil. Running A360WE fixtures on our tank.
Great support as well.

I own 5 360we and I would say if you are planing strictly lps, softies and easy to keep spa like birds nest or monti caps there will suit, but if you want to grow a little more high demanding spa then go with the radion. Some of the best tanks I have seen with leds are with them. That being said if you have a standard 65 then I believe its 36 inches long, regardless you will need two of these to properly cover it. Also many consider using a mix of led and t5.

Yes, my 65 is just a standard 65 36" long 18" wide 24" deep, and if I was to go with the kessils would it be best to go with the wide or narrow?

Funny thing is I am setting up a 65 gallon anemone softie tank with those exact measurements I will be going with the wide version so I can have overlapping. Kessils have a bad issue with shadowing but the overlapping with the wide version should correct that.

Anyone have any pictures with either of these lights on your tank?

I seen a couple kessils over a 65g reef today and didn't really like it, you're right it is much different in person. There was too much shimmer for my liking, so I think I'm just going to go with the radions.

I had same problem choosing between a Kessil and a radion.
Here is my write up which I just posted yesterday. I went with Kessil and also wasn't happy with shimmer. But I solved things witha few add ons. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=2510779 |
