I'm thinking of getting bak into the hobby
I got out of the hobby 5 years ago when my daughter was born and am thinking about putting a mixed reef together. So here are my questions:
1. What new technologies do I need to research/consider? 2. My old reef was a 6' - 125g. I disliked the 18" width. This go round I was thinking smaller display and bigger sump. Any recommendations on minimum display sizes. My initial thoughts were 70g display with a 100g sump. (I know, it's a little backward) 3. Are there any people in this group that are from the San Antonio, TX area? 4. Anyone know of a good metal stand builder? Any input is much appreciated. Che |

I agree with you on the tank. I currently have a 125g, 6ft tank but I'm putting doing a 93g cube now. A large sump is a good idea but I'm not sure about the 100/70 u mentioned. 50g sump would seem to be as large as u would need for 70 or even 100g

I just want the stability with the larger water volume.

My suggestion is a 100g tank and 75 or 50 sump at most if you want more water volume. Don't waste it all on the sump.
