Unhappy Ich help

ich kill my two fish i had when my cycle was done ,

I want know how long i need to leave my tank from free fish ,

Im planning where where to setup my qt for the next time i buy the fish again

Today my yellow tang die of ich

I only got live rock and live sand on the tank.

Yes 72 days. The longest recorded amount of time that ich stayed encysted during experiments was 72 days. But it is up to you.

If i buy fish can i keep them in qt for thag long?

If your prepared to QT then yes. My QT protocol is typically for 6-7 weeks total.

My personal QT protocol is Tank transfer method(TTM) for ich then another 4 to 5 weeks(depends on work schedule) in my main QT for observation. At some point during the QT I treat with 2 rounds of prazipro for flukes and internal parasites.

If just doing a strictly observational QT then I would go for 72 days in the QT.

I just stick to 90 days fishless to be extra safe...
