Red algae spots on sand please help
So I noticed that my sand started getting little red spots on it. I think it might be cyano bacteria but it isn't slimy and it isn't on my rocks just sand. Any help would be great.

The red blush is usually cyano. It can get thick, dark, and have bubbles. If so it's bacterial, not an algae, treated by turning lights out 3 days while running the skimmer aggressively. Doesn't always get it the first go, (do it once a month) but eventually will take care of it.
