Kessil A150W discontinued

I wonder why? I bet there was something wrong with them. Why would they discontinue them if they were decently priced and seem to be popular. The A160 was too expensive and some don't need to adjust. The A350 may be too much for some smaller tanks.

more than likely there wasn't enough interest in the 150. The 160 and 360 (and soon to be 700) are really popular and contain improved technology. its easier for a business to manage less SKUs.

Only bad thing I've heard about the A150w is they are noisy, but I doubt that's the reason they discontinued them (although my understanding is the A160 is much quieter). It's just part of their business model, it's the same reason they don't still make the original iPhone.

Kessil is an innovative and aggressive company at the forefront of the industry. They can't continue to build and support a previous generation of products and push out new products at the same time. They want to encourage customers to upgrade, purchase and promote their latest technologies, and offering their previous generation of products would be counter productive.

Yep, plus the A150 makes your tank look like it's full of windex. FUgly

How many top of the line led lights that are out there that are not dimmable?

The reason I sold my 150 was it was not dimmable and I bought a 160. Which is about the same price as the ol 150's.

The A160 is the evolution of the A150 just as the A360 is the evolution of the A350.

Have you see the latest Chevy Corvette ?

Do you think there must have been something wrong with all the Corvette designs that came before it ?

Really ?

Which one ?

The Sky Blue 10K, the Ocean Blue 15K or the Deep Ocean Blue Actinic ?

This tank has only Kessil LEDs.

?

What are you talking about?

There are 3 Different A150's you know right?

The 10K actually makes your tank look Yellow (Not Blue).

That is Ugly.

They made

10K Sky Blue
15K Ocean Blue
20K Deep Ocean Blue

the 10K is ok I guess for a non adjustable light, but the others, I'd pass on unless you like blue. A160WE is a no brainer for not that much more $ IMHO.
