What's your favorite fish you keep in groups/pairs?

Thinking of possible ideas to add in my tanks either now, or in a few years after we get a house. Currently a pair of flame hawks are my favorite in the tank right now. I am going to get a small harem of lyretails that I think will be fun. In the future, I think a trio of purple tangs would be fun.

So, what do you guys have?

Mines probably not obvious , but 3 caribean sailfin blennies. They all sit in eyeline of each other then signal like crazy, with occasional flaboyant breaks into the open. Very entertaining to watch.

I only like multiples when they stick together. School, shoal, whatever.
I have 5 blue green chromis, a few blue eye cardinals, and a pair of purple firefish.
Each group is pretty much always together.

In really large tanks, like 400+ I like to see multiple tangs or big schools of small fish.

I agree. Have a few species with multiple specimens in my tank and mostly they ignore each other and just swim as individuals. The exception are my resplendent anthias. They live in my large plating monti and always come out as a quintet to feed. Pretty cool. They are, however, on the small side and quite intimidated by the larger fish. Once they grow the schoaling behavior may stop.

Only other exception is my trio of PJ cardinals that hang together at night, though not in the day. They don't appear to ever sleep.

I love my 5 yellow tangs. They're kept in line by a large purple tang who's like the headmistress to 5 students.

I have two 6 line wrasses that are inseparable. I think they have become a mated pair as well. I was observing the smaller one's belly today, and it's huge.

Chromis and anthias for groups, and they usually mix well.
Clowns, mandarins for pairs, may try a pair of tailspot blennys.

I love pairs/groups as well. I've always wanted a swissguard basslet pair so it's good to see someone recommends it.
