Almost one year!!!!
Hey Everyone,
Long time reader, first time poster -- sort of. Tank Specs: 29 gal Biocube, small protein skimmer, eheim canister filter, 25lb of live rock, and deep live sand bed. I'm posting today because I am slowly reaching the point where I want to be careful what I put into my tank as to not shoot myself in the foot as far as overstocking/territorial problems or preventing me from some super cool coral i don't know about yet. As the title suggests, this take has almost made it a full year without any tragic problems. Right now I have: 1 ice mocha clown, 1 citron goby, 1 hi fin goby, 1 blood shrimp, 1 pistol shrimp, 1 harlequin, and a strawberry crab plus like 5 snails and 5 hermits. Surprisingly, everything has gone great and I'm planning on just monitoring water parameters and continue with regular water changes while I think about my next steps. My questions for you all: 1) I have yet to make the jump to coral, whats the protocol for someones first few corals? How many/what kind do you think I should put in a 29gal biocube? 2) I already have three fish, but want more! I'm very interested in some kind of blenny, but also want to get more bottom dwelling gobies... Can my hi fin candy cane goby be in a tank with other bottom dwelling gobies?? thanks!!! ***I'm going to post pics once my new pistol relaxes with the sand -- tank is cloudy right now*** |

1. What do you use for lighting? Light and water flow are going to be important for your corals as to determining what you can keep. There are several easy to care for corals including zoas, frog spawn, mushrooms, leathers....
2. I think with a couple of gobies already in your tank I would look for a more open water fish like a flasher wrasse or a firefish. |
