Live Rock question for tank with suspected Velvet outbreak

I am in the process of getting rid of the final few fish I have (a zebra moray and a Formosa wrasse) so that the tank can sit fallow for a while. I had an outbreak about 4 months ago and lost all my fish except for the eel and a flame wrasse. After two months with just the eel and flame wrasse in the tank and no signs of any disease, I tried adding some new fish to the tank. I got the Formosa wrasse and then two weeks later got a blackfin fairy wrasse and then about a month later got a shark fin noako wrasse and a multi color angel. The multi color died after about 4 days and then the blackfin two days after and then the noako the next day. The flame wrasse died also, but I think this was due to when I had to move my tank last weekend. So, I am going to get the last two fish out and go fallow for the required 72 days.

I have a 210 gallon tank, but only about 130lbs of rock. I have a buddy breaking down his 90 gallon and he saved about 60lbs of live rock for me. The rock is about 3 yrs old so it is covered in coralline. I was going to buy the rock from him to try and jumpstart my base rock. A few questions...Is there any reason I shouldn't put that much rock from another tank into my tank? Since I will not have anything alive in my tank, will the rock stay as live rock? Anything else I should know?

the rock will stay live as long as it stays under salt water with flow. if the tank will be fallow for 72 days and the rock you buy has any ich or whatnot on it that will also be plenty of time to get rid of that also.
