September, 2015, Reefer of the Month (ROTM) - solitude127
Since I was a little boy, I've always been around fish tanks. When going to the fish store with my dad, I always wandered into the saltwater section. I always bugged my dad to get one of those fish, but he always told me that those were saltwater fish and we have a freshwater tank. In 2004, I was able to start my own saltwater tank and that is where the addiction began. In 2006 I found Reef Central and my eyes and my brain were like a sponge, seeing how amazing corals can look and learning as much as I can about equipment, water chemistry and care for these animals. Over the 9 years I've been on Reef Central, I’ve learned many lessons and have tried to share my experiences with the member of Reef Central in hopes reefers can learn from my mistakes. I am by no means an expert but have gone through many highs and lows in this hobby that I’m passionate for.
I’d like to thank the staff of Reef Central for this honor and will continue to share my experiences. I’d also like to thank the contributing members of Reef Central in helping the reefing community care for these precious animals. solitude127

solitude127, thanks for all you do here on Reef Central, love the fish pic as well
Description of RC ROTM: In appreciation and honor of the members that regularly contribute to our discussion forums, we would like to acknowledge a Reefer each month that stands out as exceptional for their outstanding service to others. This person will be selected by the Reef Central Staff, based on their willingness to help others in response to questions, giving advice, and overall disposition. The honoree will be given the Reef Central ROTM tag, that will appear above their avatar and will follow them for one year after being awarded. This will not only demonstrate to others that you have been chosen as a trustworthy source of information, but also as a positive role model for others to emulate. Additionally, we are pleased to upgrade your membership to "premium" for one year and you will be entered in a raffle along with the other recipients each year to win a special prize to be determined. We look forward to honoring one person, each month, by highlighting them on the Reef Central homepage. This will include a recent photograph of yourself, or your avatar if you prefer not to show your actual face, along with what you love about the hobby of reef keeping and why you have chosen Reef Central to be your home. Each month the face and paragraph of the ROTM will change, but you can forever hold the honor of knowing that you were one of the chosen few to have earned this title and our respect as a member in great standing. Best Regards, The RC Staff

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It's been a long journey and thankfully I've learned a lot from my fellow reefers along the way.
Don't you drive my by house everyday on the way home? Quote:
