Nursing a trumpet back

I was just wondering how someone could nurse a trumpet back to life. Some of the heads have already became hard. I read somewhere they recommended phytoplankton and direct feed. Anyone ever done this abd if so what brand of phytoplankton you recommended. Thanks in advance

I'd start with low flow and lower light. Start there a and I'm assuming your water parameters are in range.

Yeah a guy gave it to me for free and said he wasn't sure if make it or not. My parameter are good and my lighting is less powerful then his. So hoping I can bring some life into it. Just wondered if I should add phytoplankton or just wait it out

Think it's a lost cause? Tried waiting up last night to try and feed but didn't see tentacles come out. Also looked this morning and nothing. uploadfromtaptalk1441841911214.jpg

Few heads look dead to me. Like they said above, low light & flow at first, and try to get them to feed in the mornings or night with moonlights on. Mine will eat mysis & other frozen foods.

Its takes a few days to get the tentacles to come out in my experience. But I would feed mysis not phyto. Usually if they inflate and the mouth opens they will close in around the food. Just turn off ALL flow.

The ones with fleshy membrane still on them can recover, the others are likely gone. 2 of the heads in my cluster started receeding, they shrunk to a much smaller size than what is in your pic. I was sure they were going to die off, but I just left them alone and they turned a corner and over 4 or 5 weeks came back 100%.
I agree with a lower light area with medium flow. Once you get them there, just leave them alone. IME moving them around and making alot of changes is just going to stress them out even more.

I don't think phyto is going to do anything for them. I would just leave them alone for now, they should be ok as long as your water parameters stay in line. Very very hardy coral.

^ Correct. When tentacles come out, they'll happily eat small sized food like minced shrimp or mysis, zooplankton, fish eggs etc.

Ok I moved them to a better location and will leave them there. Hoping they come back because I think they would be a great addition to my tank if they survive and free you can't beat
