a scraper that will actually let you get that nasty edge near the sand...
safely.
http://www.amazon.com/Tunze-Care-Mag...magnet+cleaner I don't like to recommend one product because there are so many good ones, but this is a brilliant design that will let you clean safely near the sand. More than one tank has gotten a nasty scratch from that sort of clean (Oh, I can steer the magnet ever so carefully, I won't pick up any sand---oops.) I have a 36 inch deep tank. I can even, watching carefully to make sure the blade doesn't trap a grain---nudge the sand into a new level so I can clean that pesky sand-edge spot. Sturdy, reliable, stainless blade so it won't rust, easy to maneuver, and it's a new design.

Strictly speaking to the nano, it doesn't have a stainless blade like the big brother so it's not as effective.
The flipper brand has a stainless blade(nano and bigger brother), "flips" so the opposite side is a regular cleaner, and works wonders even close to the sand.

I really like my latest - called "The Flipper" It takes a minute to get the hang of it, but once you do, it does a very good job as well.

I'm curious if it floats, too.
But, I'm already planning on getting one as my next scraper. |

One of the best out there. I was skeptical before I bought one. But it proved me wrong. Worked great on my acrylic, without the scratching.
