Tripped GFCI... seemingly random
Hey all, so my GFCI tripped last night... luckily I noticed and no losses nor (obvious) electrical issues found.
So I reset it and went about my business. Has this random switching off happened to other reefers before? Is there something specific I should maybe look for? I don't even have my heater plugged in (Los Angeles summers). It's been ~ 12 hours and it hasn't tripped again. Thanks! |

Sometimes they go bad and need to be replaced.

They are very sensitive receptacles and there could have been a surge.

I had one trip "randomly" when I had a Radium bulb go bad. There was some sort of leak of the inner envelope, and for whatever reason, it was causing the GFCI to trip about 15 minutes after the bulb started.
