Cheap RODI

Is anyone using the little cheap 4 stage RODI for their REEF System? Below is the link. Are they good or bad?

some review says they still get phosphet after using this unit...

May be test kit issue or unit issue.

Got mine cheap 25G p/day 4 stage RO UNIT five years ago at the local Club warehouse store and added a DI module. Total spent was 200 and I change all filters at 6 months and the membrane annually. The thing knocks out 0 ppm water. No problem.

Smaller sediment, carbon, and DI filters mean you'll run through cartridges a lot faster than a full-sized RODI with normal 10" canisters...

A couple thoughts:
-A half hour to make a gallon of water is going to feel like forever.
-I think there's something about the sediment filters working better vertically, idk
-Like zach said the cans are little, and it looks like they cost about $40 to replace a set which is what I pay for big ones iirc, you might be stuck buying them from that company too
-When you're comparing prices, include the adapters and flow meter thingees, shipping, and inline tds meter you'll need so you have the big picture

I just got a refurbished 90gpd spectrapure, it was like $180 after shipping and everything. It's a trusted brand, with good customer service if you need to learn about diff filters for chloramines, or have a problem. Idk about all the manufacturing if the filter is made in USA but the company is based here, so that's nice.

You can really piece together a rodi yourself.

Sediment filter(s)-> Carbon(s)-> RO membrane ->DI

you need a few extra pieces, flow restrictor and Auto shut off valve.
