AURORA Chinese Timer LED review
I set up a 5ft long reef tank, I used two of AURORA Chinese timer led lights for my tank,I am very happy with them,I think they are great spectrum and cool features,no warm white leds,14k full spectrum, add 2 red 2 violet 2 green on white channel, that better for corals growth.(I have no affiliation with these lights, I'm a hobbies like everyone else.)
Description : -Better spectrum and cool features, remote control and built in LCD screen with 3 channels timer, you can set time for each of 3 channels. -55 LEDs across 3 channels. Channel One-(24 LEDs): 18 x Cool White 14000k,2 x Red 660nm,2 x Green 520nm,2 x Violet 420nm Channel Two-(28 LEDs): 28 x Royal Blue 450nm Channel Three-(3 LEDs): 3 x Moonlight 465nm -LED Output Power: 55pcs*3watt -Dimension: 15.75" x 8.25" x 2.25" -Working temperature: -20 to 40 Degree Celsius -Input voltage: AC85V-265V -Lifespan: 50000-100000hours -Channels 1 & 2 are dimmable via dial. -Smart LED screen, with built in smart timer & Wireless Remote! -1 Switch turns entire unit ON or OFF (Each channel controlled by remote or built in timer) -Each Led is 3w, however entire unit set at 120w to ensure long lasting performance. -90 degree optics, remove the optics one the light to get better spread. -Hanging kit. -one plug. Packing was very great LCD screen timer system Mounted on my reef tank, about 14'' above the water,I did not take optics off,if I remove optics, tank will get get better spread. Whites channel Blues channel Moon light channel The spectrum is very great, perfect tank and corals are growing,I am happy with that. Great spectrum and cool features,I would recommend them for a alternative, remote control and built in timer controller for each channel. |

I tried to google these lights but was not able to find them. Where can they be purchased. What is the difference between these and the Mars Aqua lights (also Chinese made)?

Google 'AURORA Timer Remote LED Aquarium Light',you can find them.
Mars Aqua lights no built in LCD screen with 3 channels timer,no remote control, too much red and warm white on Mars Aqua Lights. Lots of wasted energy in spectrums that will not benefit the coral. A little red is needed, but not much. You get enough from the neutral and cool whites. 2 red diodes is more than enough. When folks start looking at PUR instead of PAR they will see why not all Chinese LEDs are created equal. I would replace 2 of the red and all the warm white with 14k diodes. |

No,they can't do sunrise sunset, but it has manual dials for intensity so it doesn't change through out the day, lights will be turned ON or OFF when you set timer for each of 3 channels.
