JEBAO DCT 15000, and head loss?

Its stated as a 4000 gph, is there a general rule as to how much would flow after a 5 foot head loss? Would it be safe to assume half gph after head loss and plumbing (nothing complicated, 2 returns)? Or much less?

Forgive me if this is to generalized, I'm looking for a ball park, or a calculator ( reef centrals doesn't have an option to just put in gph you must select a pump).

Every pump is different due to design variations of impellers and internal flow, so there is no general rule. That's why you need to know the specific pump.

Here is a link that may help (a bit of Google searching can do wonders). A little way down the site will give you a graph of head loss to gph for 3 different pumps. The head loss graph for the older Jebao DC12000 is not your DCT15000. But you can gain some basic ideas from it. Your pump has a total head of just over 16' (also info at the site) and the older pump has about 14'. At 6' of head the older pump is still pushing 7000L (1850gph), so an assumption here, but my guess would be that your pump is pushing about that and a bit more? Math says about 2050 to 2100gph.

You're welcome.

I use 3 of the older DC12000 pumps. Two in 2 different sumps and one on a CL. All 3 have worked great. The back up DC12000 on the shelf is collecting dust!
