Jebao (Jecod) DP4 Doser repair

The Jebao DP4 doser I have is like most of the other Jebao things I have, cheap and unreliable. The exception for me is the DCT 6000 main pump which is excellent.(although Fishstreet did have to replace my controller) My RW8s fail in interesting ways and I have had 3 DP4 dosers. Here is how to repair them when the pump heads stop as they regularly do.

The front of the pump heads can easily be popped off with a small screwdriver and the rollers cleaned. I have had several instances of the motor not turning and turning the shaft by hand gets it going. I have actually sprayed a little silicone lube spray down the shaft into the motor and they now not only run, they run silently . The plastic fronts on the pumps come off in two sections, you only need to remove the back section if you want to undo the two screws and replace the whole motor. The small white clips are fiddly but can be persuaded to release with a small blade to spread them outwards from the pump body. The pics might help.
First shows the clips inlocked and the three parts to the white plastic pump.
Second shows pump front two parts removed and screws for motor removal visible on back flange....and also rusty shaft ( try not to get them wet..?)
Third shows just the front section popped off and hanging down
Four shows the tube removed and rollers ready to be cleaned and lubed.

Hope this is helpful to someone who has a DP4 with some pumps not working and they can persuade them to go again.
