Took my neighbor to the LFS
I gave my neighbor a 29g setup about a year and half ago. She is ready to try some corals now. She found a nice purple stylo and a monticap. I'm pretty proud of her for sticking with it and her patience since she is now 13.

that's awesome, tony! one of my nieces comes up to see my tank every time she visits the farm. she's 19 and wants a tank in the worst way. told her to wait till she's out of college and all settled and i'd help her set up. it's years away but she's pretty determined she wants to do it.

Yeah I don't know how college kids are able to maintain one.

In college I managed a betta.
By grad school we had 2 guinea pigs with periodic young we sold for more food; we had a salamander tank (survivors of limb regen experiments at Hopkins); we had a guppy tank; we had angelfish; we had a piranha tank (got him for fifty cents, as a goner, pinned overnight under a fallen decoration: he survived and became a beautiful fish); and I had two largish seahorses which were doing fine until our downstairs neighbor threw a party with so much cigarette smoke coming under our doors it made a pall on our ceiling and did in the sea-horses. The rest, however survived.
