Which Stream for 8' softie tank
Hi Roger,
My tank is 8' by 24" by 24". Mostly softies (three big BTAs, zoos, shrooms, etc. I currently have low output from two 3/4" seaswirls in the back corners. I would like to add two streams on either side of the tank to create a little wave action but I am worried that the 6100's would be too much for my little fish (clowns, anthias, blennies, etc.). Energy consumption is also concern for me (2x45 watts vs 2x15 watts at 24 cents a kilowatt equals $120 a year). What do you think? Would two 6000 on a controller be enough? Thanks, |

For the inhabitants you have and especially if you keep the Seaswirl the 6000 Streams would be the best choice. The 6100's though wouldn't be too much for the fish, but maybe too much for the corals you have.
