Which Metal Halide Reflector for Largest Coverage Area?
I'm about ready to pull the trigger on the Hamilton Cabo Sun Mini in the 250w version with the Radium and M80 combo. According to research on here, the Cebu Sun MH/T5 combo unit will cover my tank well, but I'm going with a canopy, so I need to retrofit. But that makes me think this reflector will cover that much area as well.
The tank is 36x36x12. There is a 6" overflow on the back wall. I estimate my actual coverage need is about 28x28 max. My canopy will be about 16" tall, and I'll mount the reflector directly to it. Again, the tank is only 12" tall. I'm going with a shallow sand bed to keep the most space in there. (I was told it was 16" tall when I was making the deal with the person..grrr) This will be an SPS tank. Anyway, thoughts on this reflector? Or do you recommend another? I'm open to supplementing T5s as well, but would rather not have to. http://www.hamiltontechnology.com/it...i-Systems-2032

Weird. In my search for the Luminarc, I just realized Marine Depot carries the regular size Cabo Sun reflector, which is 19.5" x 19.5" but it's not available on the Hamilton website. :/

Nevermind. It just has to be found a really weird way. They do have it on there. So here is the one I'm considering:
http://hamiltontechnology.com/item/C...eflector--2123 But they don't list an M80 ballast option with this one. I'll have to e-mail them and see if they'll put a package together for me.
