looks good, but i would go with a one spot foxface. they stay smaller. add the tang and the foxface last, they are the biggest and will e most aggressive.
otherwise, it is a good stocking list |

my one spot was one of the first fish added to my 120 gal. reef. never a problem. the cardinals should be a bonded pair or you may end up with one. just my opinion, but I won't put any tang in my tank. I think a minimum of six feet is needed. I love them, but there are too many beautiful fish I would go with rather than these ich magnets. ditch the tang and you can have a dwarf angel and maybe a couple of other small to mid size fish. I have 12 fish in my tank but no tangs.

I'd ditch the purple tang and get a kole, tomini or some other bristle tooth tang.

Just a suggestion ,but if this is going to be a reef tank, the Fox face gets huge quick and is venomous...and they're skittish which makes a bad combination.

I opted for a two spot bristletooth for my 120g for reasons mentioned, it was that or a squaretail bristle.
I'm pretty glad I made that choice, and talk about an algae eating machine, even grooms the sand bed like no other tang I've ever had. Also, in keeping most any schoaling anthia I would advise at the very least 2 females per male to spread out the badgering the male will give, and really I think 3 females should be given ( bartletts being the exception here as they usually all turn male anyway) If you do go purple tang, better go very small and very last.

I'd get the 1 spot fox. I've had mine for a bit over a year now and hes grown maybe an inch or so ( I feed daily ). I never had a problem with aggression from him even when he was in a tank with a lyretail wrasse and trigger, and still not now that hes in a reef tank with clowns, 6 line, hawkfish. As for the tang, I'd sub out the purple and get one that Bent mentioned.

Ok. Why would you ditch the purp? I see why you say that though. Tomini does well in a smaller tank than the purple but according to LA 125 gals in the range for that tang. I like the looks of that fish too much to let it go. Last edited by JMorris271; 10/29/2015 at 07:04 PM. |

If you are referring to the fox, he was in a 55, now in a 125. The purple tang are notorious for being devilish.
