New Tank Started
Hello everyone. I have been lurking on here for some time without posting, just reading and absorbing. I have been wanting to set up a tank for a while so I picked up a 40b from $1 gallon sale. Well we decided we were going to move in like 6 months but I was able to get a fluval edge 12g for 50% off so I picked that up because I like the aesthetic look and I have seen some nice ones on the forums here. I picked up live rock from LFS and after reading on here I used gorilla super glue to hold rocks together because it was reef safe. It worked awesome considering I could only get one hand in the tank to position it due to the opening on the top of the tank.
Here comes my problem. I did not realize that it dripped down the rock until I turned the lights on. Well now I have yellow streaks on my rock where it dripped down the sides. I am assuming that once algae starts growing it will cover it up but I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and if the algae made it not noticeable. Thank you in advance. |

the glue will disappear when the tank starts maturing and you will never notice it,it's a marathon not a sprint.

Thank you for the reply. I am definitely taking it slow. I am not in a rush for anything at this point. I already told my wife and kids not to expect anything in the tank for at least a month or so.

Are you setting up the 40 before the move or the 12, or both?

I am not setting up the 40 till I move. I just wanted to start something where I currently live and the price of the edge was right so I picked it up since I figured it would be easier to move than the the 40.
