XR30w G2 Fan stuck on max RPM

Hello everyone,

I have two xr30w g2 units. They are about 2 years old and one of them had a bad fan and would shut off. I have replaced the fan and now the unit works but the new fan is stuck on max RPM all the time.

I have taken both xr30w units apart for testing and narrowed down the issue to the control board.

I have tried re-flashing the latest firmware to the defective board (by forcing it). The flash was successful but the issue is not resolved.

Before I drop a lot of money on a new board I am wondering if anyone has any other ideas on how I could possibly fix it.

Although I am familiar with the warranty, I am really not looking forward to dropping another $250.00+ (quoted from my local Big Al's store) on a unit which is only two years old.

Any feedback is always appreciated.
Thank you.
