Reefbrite MH Pendant with Luxcore ballast....how to connect???

I am putting a RB Metal Halide Pendant over my frag tank and want to use my luxcore ballast but the plugs don't match. Anyone know what I need to make the connection happen?

Try calling Tullio or Joy at Reef Brite .
They should be able to lead you in the right direction.
You are going to enjoy the amount of light they put off.

Well reefbrite didn't have a solution and Coralvue suggested cutting the cord from the pendant and rewire it. So is this what I need to do that?

I do not know who you spoke with at Reef Brite or any other company for that matter but DO NOT splice anything. Not to mention that would void the warranty on the pendant. I see you have been in contact with Greg. If you contact me I can arrange to have your pendant made with the appropriate lead you need. I see you found a link for the proper cord, if you send it to us I would be glad to instruct the guys to build your pendant and substitute the cord. Metal Halide Ballasts especially when striking or firing a lamp produce 1000's of volts. This is why we use ceramic terminal blocks in our fixtures and NOT wire nuts.

No one at reef brite instructed me to do that. They just said they were not aware of an adapter or solution. Since I have the pendants in hand already I'm guessing there's not much I can do at this point.

Actually you have two options, one you could send the pendant to us with the cord you need and we would be glad to swap out the cord for you or you could purchase the matching Reef Brite ballast.

I used a 10A IEC plug set from online vendor and wired the end of the female plug to the end of a sunlight supply ballast cord and then plugged that end into my Bluewave ballast and the 10A plug end directly into the reefbrite fixture. No issues whatsoever.
