Anyone have exp. With Sicce return pumps?
I just bought a sicce 5.0 return pump. I was wondering if anyone's had any exp with them. Are they as quiet as they claim? I noticed they use quite a bit more watts than the Rio submersible pump I have on the tank currently but that thing can be heard from outside my front door!

We have the 4.0 on our 210 and it is incredibly quiet.

Wow, BRS recommended the 5 for me on a 105. I thought that seemed high. Sounds like I would have been OK with the 4. Any downside to having more than you need other than price?

I have 2 4.0s on my 150, no complaints about them at all.

Love me some Sicce pumps. Replaced the return pump on my Innovative Marine 20 with one. Have one to pump out my RO/DI water, will probably also be using one for my new build.
I have to actually put my ear up the the return section of my Innovative Marine to hear it running, and it is only a few inches under the water. Also, if you find the flow is too high on your 105, these have a dial on the front of them that let you turn back the flow. Of course if you are running any reactors off of your return you might actually like the extra output. |

I'm running a 5.0 on my 120, and its been great, no noise at all unless I am right there in the sump and against it.

I have a 4 pumping up from a basement sump, I was pleasantly surprised with the volume coming from that much head pressure. The pump itself is silent.

i have a 5.0 on my 120. amazingly quiet. best pump I've ever owned . quieter than the Ehiem 1262, and obviously quieter than Magdrives. I've had it for 1.5 years now. i won't buy anything else, and i change my mind A LOT
