Please help identify

Found in Jupiter Fl stranded just as tide went out, gently moved to below tide line, seemed to be alive. Was very dense. The side with bumps was very rigid around the white area. Goal is to learn as much about the animals in the water where we are at the moment and pass it on to those that take an intrest when we are out looking. (we live on a boat)
