Vortech MP10 or Maxspect Gyre
Hey everyone I am looking into one MP10 or one Maxspect Gyre

I would go with the MP10, the Gyre will be too powerful in that size tank IMO. The mp10 will give you greater control over flow so you can tune it in to just the right amount of flow.

gyre 130 is not too much flow as I have one on my biocube 29...both are controllable for amount of flow...
That said I cant give you a pro/con as I have not owned a MP. I guess it all comes down to what you have in way of controller and such as if you are using them standalone you are not getting the most out of either. I like the full tank water movement in my cube with the gyre and most with the Mp have had to get 2 in a same size tank (like homer and reefer in the nano forum) so the cost savings is what sold me. The 130 now having rugged blades saves one from most of their early issues as well. In terms of looks the MP looks a lot better as the gyre is a large unit in the tank. I dont mine it anymore but keep that in mind.

I have both and wish I spent my money on another mp10. Get an mp10.
