Filter question
So maybe a stupid idea to begin with, But here it goes. So i have a 55 gallon tank all set up and everything with LR corals and all the works, been running for quite some time now. I'm using the Marineland C-360 canister filter and have a Tunze protein skimmer. So everythings going well. Great water quality, All the corals seem to be happy and haven't had a loss in that tank for a while now. There is a member on a local forum looking to borrow a canister filter for about a week, Do you think it would cause any harm un-hooking the canister filter for about a week? I've been meaning to take it out and work on a sump anyway so may use that time to do it. I'm thinking with just one week filtration should be good enough from the liverock. Let me know your thoughts.

I would use @ least 1 powerhead in the tank for water movement.
Then I would get my butt in gear on that sump running in less than a week. A lot depends on the bio load in the tank.

Just be sure and clean the filter good before re using it to make sure you don't get something bad in your tank. His might be pure, but you don't know for sure. Just my 2cents worth.
