ATI Sun Power 6 bulb or 8 bulb?

Tank size 36x22x11
Currently running a maxspect razor 160w 16K and i am going to convert into T5.
So i need some opinion, 6x36w or 8x24w? i am planning to use the Sun power dimmable and wanna keep sps with some lps on sand bed?

6 36" all day long. The bulb cost is almost the same if not the same. If wanting to go sps I think you would regret not just going the whole 36" later.

T5 light doesn't travel that far to the sides. You'd have a center-lit tank with the 24". Also, your tank won't benefit much from the greater front-to-back coverage of 8 bulbs - it's not big enough.

I think you should consider the 8x36" as well. Especially if you are getting dimmable. You may just want that extra later

Just to give you some reference. I have a 48x24x24(120 gallon) with a 6x54 AquaticLife fixture with all ATI bulbs. I am growing LPS, Softies, and SPS(half-way the tank) with no problem. ATI bulbs put off a lot of PAR. 3 months ago, I was getting 522 PAR at the surface and 180 on the sandbed. These bulbs were 5 months old.

I would do the 6x36 dimmable.

Thanks all for the suggestion. i am gonna use 1 plastic/resin rock which is approx 15-20 inch in length , will post the photo later. I might consider the 6x36w, 8x36w it minght be to much i think. What is the best light combo for color and growth? Need some input in this too
