Weird fish behaviors
So after keeping fish for more than half of my life I have noticed some weird behaviors that I don't think are normal on certain individual fish so I figured I'd start this thread to see what everyone has experienced list the fish and what it did that was odd
Here's me: 6 line wrasse: never had an interest in nori until it saw my tang nibble on it now he eats nori off the clip like he's a tang Longnose Hawkfish: I had a scooter dragonet in my tank and my hawkfish always made it a habit to sit on him Kole tang: chasing and harassing a pseudochromis even though they look nothing alike and the dottyback was added before him Lawnmower blenny: sitting on big squamosa clam and even sleeping under it at night Occelaris clown: hosting a mag float, then a net, then a new powerhead Diamond goby: picking up and carrying hermit crabs and dropping them from the top of the tank into a hole in the lr (like basketball) |

Oh this one too
I worked at the zoo for awhile and we had a huge fake reef (1500+g) and in the reef there was a big airstone bubbler thing in one corner and this hippo tang would rub himself on the bubbles and play in them just him no other fish did this. I thought he was sick I went back to the zoo a few years later and he was still there doing his thing |

Mine chases them out of the water column.
He also attacks my hand.

my starry is the devil. he even hates the linckia. who gets mad at a starfish?
If he's anything like my last cat this hateful streak will guarantee him a long and spiteful life. The nastier they are the longer they live it seems. He sits on coral like E's LMB too. Whichever one cost the most or I like the best usually. He thinks my bowerbanki is his throne. Hubby wants to change his name from Antonin Scalia to Joffrey Targarian

Similar sorts of weird:
Current tank has a solorensis wrasse that eats nori like it is going out of style, he will clear the clip in about 15 minutes. Also, young blue tang insists on sitting on top of the big lawnmower blenny no matter where they are in the tank.

My Diamond Watchman Goby does the Hermit Crab carrying thing. He'll also grab passing Nassarius snails if they come out during feeding.

My maroon pair used to sleep with the yellow tang at night. Now my female blood orange had been sleeping with the coral beauty until I got her a mate.

My occelaris sleeps with her head down in the corner of the tank. My foxface consistently tries to wedge himself into places that he doesn't really fit. He also follows me around if I'm walking in the living room. My starry blenny hates nassarius snails - but if the fox face catches him bullying he'll send him to his hole for time out. My Allen's damsel is normal.

I had a naso tang that would swim in front of the power head. He would go right in front of the power head and swim fast right in the current.
I also have a blue throat that plays basketball with snails and hermits. Once in a while he will grab a snail and smash it of the glass and shake his head like a dog playing with a toy. Then he gets a snail treat! Hahaha |
