1 or 2 kessil AP700 for Redsea Reefer 350?

I'm setting up my Redsea Reefer 350 (47"L x 20"W x 21"H) tank. It will be a mixed reef. Is 1 Kessil AP700 enough or do I need to have 2 units?

1 will do it IMHO. It's a very strong little light.

It looks like you will have to mount it relatively high to cover a full 4 feet, and the edges probably will be a bit shady (which is fine for many LPS for example). Lower mounting heights might make the side areas even darker.

It looks like a nice light. Most modern single puck designs seem to cover about 12" to 18" really well depending on mounting height. But some manufacturers do claim greater coverage.

If it's a mixed, just put your SPS in the middle 2-3 ft area and put your LPS and softies on the edges.

check the BRS video to see the incredible coverage of the AP700 - https://youtu.be/V7XLgLiA0PM?t=1288

I thing you can do with 1 if you place softies and LPS towards the edges

I love how the Red Sea Reefer 350 looks. I'm holding out until January to see if the 425 will be available in the US. It's a couple of inches deeper and high.
