Yellow Tang Acting Weird
Hi Guys,
I have an issue with my yellow tang. I have had this yellow tang for almost a year now. Currently it is in a 75 gallon aquarium. it has been doing great until a few days ago. It has been hanging out in the back corner rubbing against the glass, zooming around in short strides then stopping and coming back to the corner. the only thing i can make sense of is that it sees its own reflection in the glass and is freaking out. the only thing i have done recently is i cleaned the back glass which is where she is displaying this weird behavior. Also i can tell she is stressed because her gills are moving very fast The yellow tang is still eating and enjoys nori seaweed. i also i do not see any physical diseases on it like ich, so from what i can see other than its behavior - it seems healthy. below are two videos i took of my yellow tang acting weird. please view and give me some feedback on what could be happening. be sure to watch in HD for best quality https://youtu.be/CHFYbRDaDZs https://youtu.be/jTF9gJpBwiI |

Yellow Tangs are complete crack heads , don't worry it's perfectly normal . He's noticing his reflection . Mine does that when I clean the bottom of the glass

LOL....first Yellow Tang I take it? That thing looks healthy as hell, you should see how mine acts when I clean the tank, complete maniac, Purple tang as well, they feed off of each others madness, bottom line, yours is fine, quite nice looking in fact.

IMO, it is sick or it sees it's reflection through the glass. Sometimes, I have heard when Tangs do this, it means they are stress out and the tank is getting too small for them when you see them flying from one end to the other. Don't know if that is fact or a myth.
