Avoid flake food if you can. New Life Spectrum Thera A pellets come in many sizes and most fish love it. I prefer the small fish size. Frozen foods like Rods Food or Larry's is a better bet in the long run though.

Angels will eat the pellets not sure on the BF's. What specific species are you asking about?

You can make your own Rod's type food..............just buy scallops, mussels shrimp, clams freeze them and then mince it up. Most BfFs will eat that.

What?

My clownfish are spawning on a regular basis with a diet that consists of nothing but flake food... (80/20)

Don't let that fool fool you...

Which pellets wud u recommend for dwarf angels? Im a vegetarian so not allowed, but can manage frozen mysis. Do u mean the algaegel and nutrigel are a waste? How is hikari and tlf algae? Or nori is best?

I haven't used the other products you mentioned. The gels look messy, I wouldn't bother with them. The dwarf angel can eat the 1mm thera-A pellets.......they have some seaweed and algae in them.

Nori from the market is fine if you want to use it. He'll be picking the rock and get some algae that way also.

If you want a dry food specifically for algae you can get Ocean Nutrition Formula 2 flakes or pellets.

So thera A and ON 2 are enough for the food? How about frozen mysis? Are they worth or will be bad for my tank? Im planning on pellet and seaweed eating fish only. Which dwarf angels do u suggest for a 45g?

Yes, it's fine to mix Mysis in the diet.......it's always good to provide a mixed diet.

Pick one that appeals to you........all the Centropyge angels are nice. You can use this link as a picture reference to get you started-

Actually, you should avoid all dry food as much as possible. The fish or krill meal that makeup the bulk of these foods have had the nutrients from the oils striped out. These are the valuable parts and are sold for human and farm animal consumption. The by products and the waste along with the dead animals from fish farming are sold to the pet food industry with few, if any, regulations. The other main part of dry food is either from wheat, soy, alfalfa, and other terrestrial plants which marine fish have never eaten and have evolved not to eat. The oils in these foods cause liver and heart issues over time. There are also preservatives and antioxidants which fish are not meant to consume. Stick with fresh, frozen, or live foods like, clams, oysters, shrimp, salmon, white worms and black worms.

Well im a vegetarian and im not allowed to feed seafood, though once a month i try it. Somehow i can hide mysis in my freezer...

i thats why never keep fishes that i need to feed seafood. Only pellet eating fishes. Well id rather not keep that fish, coz i hate when fish die coz of my mistake.

Do u think thera a, cyclopeeze and frozen mysis are enough?

I like NLS pellets and Hikari frozen foods. Sometimes I will mix it up and throw in some Ocean Nutrition pellets.

IMO and IME NLS are the best out there. I've also had some very picky eaters eat the NLS pellets and not mysis or any of the frozen mixes like LRS.

LOL no I didn't say that. I feed a mix of all kinds of food. My answer was that my fish love NLS pellets and I enjoy giving them to them. I do feed a mix of foods and mysis is one of the preferred foods. Pretty much all of my fish go crazy over frozen mysis and the pellets. I also feed a mix of frozen foods like LRS or Rods. I believe in feeding a balanced diet to the fish. Oh and I also will feed on occasion freeze dried mysis.
