Refugium lighting advice?
Hello, I need some recommendations on lighting my refugium. It is a custom built acrylic 36x20x18 white with a clear front and cut outs for lids. I have it plumbed to the sump.
The problem is I had the cabinets custom made with the sump builder supposedly building me 36x18x16. Long long story short that didn't happen and I used the refugium anyway but there is very little room between the top of the refugium and the cabinet lid that covers the fuge. Maybe 3 inches tops. I can lay something right on top but it can't get to hot to melt the acrylic. Any advice, suggestions, lighting recommendations would be appreciated. I will try and get a pic up tomorrow

My LFS has these laying right on top of the rim of their refuges with no "feet" on it. Its just a bar, maybe 1.5-2" thick tops. The fixture doesn't appear to get hot at all, and they seem to be growing chateo just dandy!

There are a few different "colors" of this fixture, some for planted tanks, and some more suited for corals. Ive seen people have different options as far as color temperature for a refuge, this way you can pick whichever one you like.
