Was a wysiwyg and was very purple with yellow and greens. This is brown with what looks like the skeleton coming through.

Nitrate/Nitrite - 0
phosphates - .003 Hanna URL ALK - 7.9 Was kept at 8.5, but hanna reagent issue screwed me up. Slowly bringing back to 8.5. But this frag was put in today at 7.9. Calcium - 421 salinity 1.025 Have it in a little cave area with low flow. Was reading that Pectinia's tend to lose color during shipment, but the skeleton showing is whats worrying me. I got a cyphastrea with the same shipment which looks amazing. Polyps fully extended. Also got a plate frag that looks fine. Just don't want to lose this because I've never seen colors like this on a Pectinia before. Was pricey for a little frag too. Last edited by Rob Pnuke; 01/28/2016 at 09:20 PM. |

It should bounce back assuming your parameters remain consistent. I have a space invader pectinia frag that was showing a lot of skeleton, but after feeding it quite a bit, its feeding tentacles are out all the time now and it's growing a lot. Good luck!

Rob, what about your mag?
I agree with D Nak, what you posted looks good with the exception of the missing mag test. Don't raise the Alk too fast and you should be ok.

Thanks for getting back to me guys. My mag is at 1380 using the NYOS test. Not sure how accurate it is but I do weekly 10% WC so should be good there.
The good news is I woke up this morning and it's already starting to color up! The eye was a nice yellowish green and I could see purple coming in. So I'm assuming just keep it under the over hang for now in low flow? |
