id please for this nuisance algae

This green algae is getting on my live rock it doesnt brush off easy and its not furry or anything

Green film algae. Do you use RODI water? What do you run on the tank equipment-wise?

Do you have a cleaning crew? Some snails are better than others on different growth. Check your phosphate levels. That is usually where the problem begins.

I have macro alage plus a skimmer..The tank is only 3 to 4 months old I do have snails and they did get rid of the diatoms ...I use RO water not the di part...So film algae wont brush off with a toothbrush?

I have snails and hermit crabs...Last phosphate reading was 0.00 lol and nitrate was 3-4...however up until last month or so the phosphates were around 0.10 or a bit higher and nitrate around 5- 10

Your tank will go through various algae cycles as your tank matures. Keep up on your maintenance and they will eventually go away on their own.

If that was dry base rock that bright green algae is completely normal.

I'm getting it on my Marco rock as well.
Totally normal part of the cycle...

Aye - this is a normal phase of rock "livening up". It will slowly get coated in other algae and live things and look more like your traditional live rock - and with the correct water conditions coralline will take over.

Yes actually it is the dry base rock that the algae is thickest on
