what should I get next?

was wondering what I should add next to my tank. I have about 30-35lbs of live rock, sand, heater, ro/di system and 4 fish. should I go with an auto top off, gfo/carbon reactor or something else? any suggestions would be great

More info!

What size is your tank? How long has it been running?
What are your current fish?
What do you want your tank to become? Fish only? Coral?

No matter what you add, there will always be more, that's what makes this hobby so great...and so expensive!

Is doing the top off manually really a PITA? Then go for it. I find it helps me stay on top of what's going on with my tanks (I have 4 and do them manually). You may never need gfo/carbon reactor. I have a good one but it sits on a shelf unused!

Do you have a skimmer? Do you have a sump?

I agree with you here. Having to top off the water every day means I get in the sump everyday and look around. If I didn't have to do this I would probably overlook small things due to simply not thinking to check it out down there everyday. We just bought an ATO for an upcoming vacation which we will be trying out for a few weeks prior and I am curious to see how much it effects my zoned in attention every single day. Once we are back it will be coming back offline.
