Reef Breeder 32 V2 lighting schedule
So I got 2 new Reef Breeder 32 V2 lights, I was wondering if anyone else has bought any and has come up with a lighting schedule and intensities used. The pre programmed custom schedule is a little odd to me and want to get an idea of what I should change it too. I can do adjustments by every 15 minutes, 30 Minutes or every hour. Any help is appreciated!

I ran mine 13" off the water on a typical 75 gallon.
I ran them at 90% white and 40% Blue. Grew SPS like crazy

I have the older EverGrow IT2080 fixtures (32") over a mostly sps and lps 180g tank.
I think doing changes every hour is more than enough. Settings every 15 minutes or even every 30 minutes makes resetting things a huge job. I do a 5 hour sunrise that is all blue for 2 hours at the start and then ramp up both channels after that. My midday is 100% blue and 40% white (my corals have been acclimated to these high settings over 3+ years). Midday is 3 hours. Then a 6 hour sunset with the last 3 hours being all blue.

I just got my photon 48V2 and have also contact Logan with suggestions on lighting intensity I think he may need to make a graph or something with 6 channels it is a lot different then his older setups.

Finally got my photon 48 V2 light set up and I am very pleased with it. I have mine at the top level that the feet allow up to go which is about 9 inches. I am running the blues at a max of 60 percent for about 6 hours and the whites at a max of 30 percent for about 2 hours with gradual adjustments up and down though out the photo period. I will probably max out at 75 percent blues and 50 percent whites (for 2 hours). The moon lighting is really neat running at only 3 percent really shows the tank in a whole different way, i run it like that for a couple of hours. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this light. Wish I could get better pictures may be my next project to learn how to take a good picture.
Also I never realized how loud the fans where on my 165W Chinese LEDS until I removed them. This light is very quiet, but I am running pretty low, so it may get louder when I increase usage. Also here is an email from Logan explaining his recommendations. Channel 5 is the 480nm blue, I would recommend using those as moonlights for a couple hours before the rest of the channels come on/after they go off. It is a big more complex to program 6 channels. The most important channels are the 450nm royal blues (CH3), the 420nm violets (CH6), the 5500K nuetral whites (CH4), and the 480nm blues (CH5). To make it easier, you can keep CH3, 6, and 5 at the same power, and then set CH4 to the desired kelvin rating (more power to CH4= lower kelvin rating). Then CH1, which is the reds, can be run at whatever looks good without adding too much purple (lets say 70% of what you are running the blues at as a good rule of thumb) and you can leave CH2 off if you want, green isn't really that useful.

Running 2 x it5080 and 1 it5040
I'd love to hear more about people's schedules. I have to 80's on a frag tank that is cycling so no worries there yet. I was running my whites as high as 70 percent for about 3 hours and the colours up to 80, bleached a bit and quickly turned down. This is the it5040 on 20gallon lps tank. Now my whites max out at 40 percent for 3 hours and I am thinking it's still a little much for the whites. My colors are at 50-60 when maxed. I can post my schedule if anyone cares lol but I don't think it's just right for appearance and making the corals perfectly happy. I am wondering if running Chan 6 at a 100 will have ill effect? I like getting the purple out of it but not sure if the spectrum will be harmful if maxed out or close to. Pretty happy with the lights. Had a technical problem with one of the 80's and they replaced very quickly for me.

ryan, how big is your frag tank that you need 2 IT5080's over it? They are the 32" fixtures, right? How deep is the frag tank... and/or the 20g?
I'm willing to try and help, I had (notice past tense) EverGrow IT2080's over my 180g tank and now have a RB Photon 50 V2 over my new 125g tank.

The frag is 6ft x 2ft x 9inches deep. The 20 gallon is regular size not exactly sure of the dimensions. Not a tall and not a long. Yeah the 5080 is 32" I have them side by side and they cover perfectly. Your light would be the evergrow it5012 rebranded by reefbreeders the longest one they make. How you liking the light?

So far I love the new Photon V2.
It's only been 3 weeks and my tank is going through an unusual situation. It's a new tank & sand, 75% very live rock & 25% dry rock with lots of coral (mostly sps & lps) several other inverts (3 shrimp, 2 serpent stars, a halloween hermit, several emerald crabs, some snails and a yellow sand sifting sea cucumber) and 2 small fish. I couldn't take the time to cycle the tank because I had so many things in temporary holding tanks after my 180g reef developed a 30gph leak. I'll be happy once I get the display refugium up and running and get through the cycle issues like the diatom bloom. Then I can start really working with the light and my PAR meter. BTW, I think I'm going to order another V2 to put over the display refugium. I have a 16" EverGrow IT2040 which still works like new, but it is much bulkier than the V2 and I after 12 years in the hobby, I want an entire system that looks good, not just cool looking stuff inside the tank!
