blue hermit crab hasnt moved for a week
Hi all, i noticed that my blue hermit crab molted about a week and a half ago. I saw it outside its shell molting whilst the nassarius snails where allover him...since then he has moved into a hole (with his shell and all) and hasnt moved since.
Water parameters are excellent and all other inhabitatnts are doing great. Should i try to move him or is it part of the post molting process? thanks |

Do you see him moving at all? Mine goes in hiding after molting for 2-3 days, but newer a week, seems too long. Sometimes they do not survive after molting. Give him a nodge, see if he is moving.

after nudging him he moved and went out of hiding...however he no longer is blue...his feet are brown...does it mean he's unhealthy?

It may mean he had to leave shelter before his new shell had totally hardened.
