Plumbing?

so im getting ready for my first reef tank. I got a danner mag pump and an esh overflow. it is for my 40gal breeder which goes to a 20 gallon sump/refugium. So what is the go to place or website or typeof plumping to get?
should i just go to home depot and grab some pvc and glue?
is there any guides to plumping?
i do have a good LFS, someone told me to get some special aycrillic hosing.

The hose should be used on the return pump fitting to eliminate vibration noises from a direct connection of a pump & PVC pipe.
HD or Lowes have the right pipe for aquarium use.

I've always used a small piece of hose between the sump ( external plumbed ) and the return pump, and a short length of hose on the return side of the pump, but after that pvc all the way.
As Vinny said, it really does help in a lot of cases.

However I just hooked up a new Vectra M1 that is all pvc, all the way. There is no vibration or noise.

When hooking up my Fluval SP4, I tried a section of 1" vinyl tubing and was noticed a significant drop in flow, so I changed it to a section of flexible PVC. Much better flow and still no noise.

SO i see flexible pvc comes in all sizes. My return pump is the danner mag 5, its got a 1/2" inlet and oulet. How do i get 1/2" tubing to go into a return u pipe, most of the u pipes seems to be 5/8" or 3/4"?
