RODI upgrade for 50GPD unit

Few questions if anyone can help please

I only have a 50GPD RODI 4 stage unit, whats the best way to increase water production and/or reduce waste?

1) install booster pump to maintain 70-80PSI?
2) Buy something like BRS 150GPD Water upgrade kit?

Their site specifically says "The BRS 150 GPD Water Saver Upgrade Kit increases the production of any BRS 75 GPD reverse osmosis system to 150 GPD while cutting waste water by 50%......"

does that mean I need to buy a 50GPD rated RO membrane to attach to my unit to increase production to 100GPD?

3) Is it even possible to replace my current RO membrane with a 75GPD cartridge, then install the BRS Water Saver?

I would go with a booster pump. I get 170 gpd from a 90 gpd membrane by increasing the water pressure, this will also decrease the TDS levels post membrane

You can replace the membrane with a higher rated GPD model but if you do you will need to replace the flow restrictor

By decreasing the waste you will prematurely foul the membrane. When you run your filter also flush the membrane before and after use, this is more important if you have hard feed water

Thanks Az.

Yea, booster pump sounds good.

My RO should last me a couple of years according to forum members plus my tank is small at 45G. I always flush before and after, only for a min or so but I think it helps.

I'll buy a 75 or 100GPD RO in a couple of years when my current wears out.

thanks
