Help me design a pretty backdrop for my new tank.

So I was thinking...

The wall needs something here. Badly. First of all, the plant hangars I used for my lights last time that you see are going away, I'm going to be building a canopy for the tank to hide the lights. Secondly, I'm moving the picture to be more centered above the tank, or it may just go away entirely.

I was thinking about getting some oak boards that would match the cabinet, and sticking them vertically on the wall. Sort of like the nps Elos tank setup that Mark did except make the slats vertical instead of horizontal to match the stand. See his setup here:

I also thought of making a border out of some trim, painting some chalk board paint above it and drawing a cool picture on it.

Something like so:

Except in that pic it's the whole wall, and in my minds eye it would just be above the tank, only as wide as the tank, with a trim border on either side all the way to the ceiling.

Any other ideas?

If your artistic( I am not but my wife is), she is working on painting a large canvas. It will be 48" to cover the length of the tank, but the chalkboard is a cooool idea too!

Maybe removable wallpaper? Here is a sample website, but you can order similar products from Amazon and even Wal-Mart:

I like the Tribal Aztec Turtles from the site above

Those removable murals are too cool!

I was thinking if I did the chalkboard thing, I could draw out the tank inhabitants and label them, that way when people who know jack about the ocean come over I don't have to sit there and point out everything.
