Shallow cube tank questions
So I'm starting a new reef project (yay!). I was looking for "the perfect tank" for ages and fell in love with a cube at my LFS. He was selling the whole setup for a great price and I couldn't resist.
I've always had standard or deep tanks so this tank is a whole new world for me and I have no idea how to go about it. The dimensions are 3x3x1.5. Does anyone else have a tank similar? What kind of lighting do you use? Aquascaping? Do you guys think the tank is better to look at from eye level or from above? What kind of livestock suits shallow tanks, or are they all generally ok with shallow tanks? If anyone has any sort of suggestions, photo ideas that would be helpful for a tank like this I would be more than grateful! I'll attach a photo of the tank as is in the store. I'm thinking I'm not too into the stand and sump... What do you all think? |

Great looking tank! Cool dimensions too. As far as aquascape cube tanks tend to form islands of varying height more often than the wall look you see on a lot of rectangular tanks. Inspired to take similar dimensions on my next tank, things to think about.

Thanks ! I'm absolutely in love with the tank. The dimensions make it so interesting. Thanks for the island idea! I was actually thinking to do the wall look but now I realise that's not the best aqua scaling for these types of tanks.
