Neptune DOS question
I read in the CRM that the DOS can operate with 24' head pressure with no lose. My mixing and holding station is 12-15 vertical feet and 25 horizontal feet will the dose be able to pull water to my sump for an automatic water change?

I wouldn't expect an issue. Granted, mine are on the same level, but I have an AWC from new to DT, DT to QT, then QT to waste. The longest run is about 25 feet with about 6 feet of vertical head and has no issue. When I calibrated it from new, it pumped exactly 40ml, the intended calibration volume.

Have you seen an positive or negative effect with smaller water changes and do you do simultaneously pull water from tank and put new in?

I also run a DOS for auto water changes, the line runs about 30' with about 9' total vertical. I test the calibration every two months, and they are spot on still. Probably will be until the silicone tubing inside the rollers fails. I let it pull and add simultaneously, pulls the water out in the first section of the sump, and adds to the last/return section.

I do it simultaneously. As far as negative effects, I don't see any, but a period of neglect previous to having the AWC set up resulted in a massive buildup of nutrients that I'm fighting.
