Corals: how long out of water
I always put all my pieces in water buckets when cleaning. Just wondering - how long can you keep coral out of water before it could be an issue?

Depends n the coral, but most can easily take 15 minutes. I would not make a habit out of it however. Not sure why you would need to remove the corals to clean, but when you do I would at least place them in saltwater from your tank.

In my opinion you should mount your coral and then leave them alone, They hate being moved around. They should be fine being exposed to air during your cleaning. How much water are you taking out?

I've got some acans mounted on small rock sheets, a scoly, and some other pieces that I like to remove when redistributing the sand that my goby and clown like to move.
