Help!
Hi! I need help! I have a LFS guy that I know well installing a new 75 gallon reef system at my house. He's putting in a 20 gallon sump... My concern is that there are no sections to it..... It's just a 20 gallon long tank. The skimmer will be hanging on the side and he is using something called miracle mud. Live rock will also be in it. Am planning to add some macro algae too at some point. Should the sump have glass walls sectioning areas off or is it OK just being one larger area? He will be back in a couple days to finish the set up and I need to decide what to do... Thanks so much! Am excited to be back in touch with this group!

There should be at least one. The return pump should be in an isolated section to minimize the debris going thru it. Since you will be using a hob skimmer it does not need its own section.
