What type of animals do you expect to live in your cryptic Zone

reply from reeffarmers
i sent an email about bad hitchhikers to the place that sells cryptic live rock and animals. this was the response:
"Actually my Cryptic rocks have been through two additional curing processes after the initial import cure. These rocks have been Cryptic now for about 10 years. So speciation or diversity is not incredibly high. Only see an aptasia about once a month. Same with tiny star fish. Remove them instantly. The rock has a diverse population of very low light coralline, numerous types of feather dusters, tiny scavenger rock worms and numerous sponge species. There could be a tiny bristle worm. But that is about it. The reef seed tanks in general are coralline dominant." so, i guess i shouldn't be worried about that. |

A aptasia once in awhile in his system might lead to a total outbreak in yours

one of the petcos in my area has a problem with sponges, and they consider them an unwanted pest. they also said they would unofficially sell me some for a donation. would that be a better idea?

I seeded the dead rock in my dark fuge (Cryptic Zone?) with Garf Grunge and some Sea Squirts from Garf. I later added some Pods. It's now full of Sponges, Tube Worms, Sea Squirts, Pods, and other "stuff". So is my overflow box. I really haven't had any pest problems.
